Volcanoes - Due Sunday 10/25

Student objectives:


  • I understand how volcanoes form at plate boundaries and hotspots.
  • I understand how the 3 different types (cinder cone, shield, composite) of volcanoes are similar and different.
  • I can identify the features (magma chamber, vent) of a volcano.
  • I understand how the difference in magma creates different volcanic eruptions.
  • I understand the classification of dormant, active, and extinct volcanoes.
